Canvas is double-thickness (gallery profile ~3.8 cm) MDF with a molded frame, pre-coated with a three-layer universal primer and ready to paint. 100% cotton duck , high-density fabric , 380gsm / 13oz , acid-free and “back-stapled” finish that holds the piece firmly. Recommended for acrylic and oil paints ; not recommended for poster paint, gouache or watercolor.

🖌️ Instructions for use

1. Remove from packaging and check the surface for dust.

2. If you want a smoother base – lightly sand with fine grit and optionally add a thin layer of gesso.

3. Start with acrylic or oil paint; for heavy impasto, work with consistent, drying intervals.

4. After drying, if the work is in oil, apply an appropriate varnish for protection.

💡 Tips and Notes

• An oval shape naturally “focuses” a portrait — align the eye axis with the long axis to balance the composition.

• When hanging on the wall, use two fixing points to prevent the form from "rolling".

• If you're making impasto, work with a flat spatula and adjust the layers to the drying window to prevent cracks from forming.

• Don't use large amounts of water-soluble mediums—this series works better with traditional acrylic/oil.
