Mont Marte Premium Crackle Paste develops a cracked texture as it dries to a white, opaque finish. It suits decorative effects on canvas, wood and polymer clay, and the dried surface can be painted with acrylic or oil paint.

Use

Apply a consistent thin layer with a flat taklon brush. Let it dry fully before painting: approximately 2–3 hours, depending on conditions. An even coat of glossy acrylic makes a suitable base on timber.

For a larger crackle effect, apply a thin layer of PVA glue first, wait at least 20–30 minutes, then add the crackle paste. Test your preferred effect on a sample surface before starting the final artwork.
