How to Mix

Pour water into a clean container first, then gradually sift or sprinkle the plaster into the water. A useful starting ratio is approximately 1 part water to 2 parts plaster, although the exact consistency may vary depending on temperature, water amount and working conditions. Mix gently with a spatula until the mixture is smooth and even.

Casting and Setting

Pour the prepared mixture into the mould or chosen form. Gently tapping the sides of the mould can help release trapped air bubbles and improve the final surface. The plaster begins to set quickly; working time and full hardening depend on thickness, water ratio and surrounding conditions.

Finishing and Safety

Once fully set, the finished piece can be lightly refined, smoothed, painted or decorated. Wear gloves when mixing and do not mix plaster with bare hands. Avoid inhaling plaster dust and work in a well-ventilated area.
