Mont Marte Premium Matte Acrylic Medium increases the translucency and flow of acrylic paint. Use it for glazing, thin washes and watercolour-style effects when you want lighter layers with controlled colour.

Mixed into acrylic paint, it extends drying time to make blending easier. It dries to a matte finish while maintaining the paint’s adhesive qualities.

How to use

Add small amounts to paint until you achieve the effect you need. It can also form a protective finishing coat on acrylic artwork: apply quickly and evenly with a soft synthetic brush. Used alone, it dries quickly, so the manufacturer does not recommend it as a varnish for large artworks. Let each coat dry fully before adding another. Clean brushes with soapy water while the medium is still wet.
